Our Standard
Every decision at First Light starts with the same question: is it good for the horse? It's why our hay is lab-tested before it's ever fed, why stalls are picked twice a day instead of once, and why the last thing that happens every night is a person walking the aisle, putting eyes on every horse.
Most of what we do isn't glamorous — scrubbed water buckets, blankets changed as the weather turns, hand-walking when a storm keeps everyone inside. None of it makes a highlight reel. All of it is why horses thrive here.
The farm is new. The standard isn't.
Boarding
Every horse here gets the same foundation: tested forage, clean water, daily turnout, and eyes on them at night. The tiers differ only in how much of the daily work we take off your plate.
Open to boarders and to riders coming in from outside the farm. Ride your own horse, or learn on one of ours while you look for the right one. Show training and MagnaWave sessions are available, and packages are offered for both.
We help clients buy, sell, and lease horses — and we'd rather wait for the horse that fits than push the one that's convenient. Tell us what you're looking for.
Visit
We're on Route 537 in Colts Neck, in the heart of Monmouth County horse country. Visits are by appointment so someone is free to give you and your questions their full attention.
